Yesterday I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I was having one of those days where nothing seemed to be going right and on top of that it was a gloomy overcast Saturday morning. While brushing my teeth I got a call from my brother asking if I could be ready to shoot an outdoor event in town in an hour. Not completely thrilled I hopped into the shower and pulled myself and my equipment together as quickly as possible; I climbed into my mountaineer and headed for the city. To my surprise this shoot was just what the doctor ordered to remedy my stupid bad mood. I was there to shoot the NSTAR walk for Children's Hospital. I followed around a few celebrities that came to walk and meet with some extremely brave little boys and girls that have battled more in their few years than most do in a lifetime. The truth is these children were the celebs for the day; they knew nothing about past NBA rosters or the gossip on Grey's Anatomy. They were glad to see NBA champion Rick Fox, actress Eliza Dushku, Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo and funny girl Anna Faris not because they were famous but because they were full of genuine smiles and there to support a good cause. I met some really fortunate people and some really unfortunate people but at the end of the day I walked back to my car thinking this is a good day; I am pretty damn lucky.

Kristie, is that Eliza Dushku getting her scarf played with? I *know* her from my event planning days with the Buffy people! How cool is that- worlds collide! :D
